(Thechieftainspear) – A 21-year-old man was shot after allegedly breaking into a Chino home on Tuesday morning, leading to his arrest and hospitalization.
The Chino Police Department responded to a break-in call around 11:36 a.m. on the 4300 block of Lombardy Court. According to the resident who called 911, the intruder—later identified as Svens Sokolovskis of Whittier—had entered the home by smashing a front window. The resident’s husband then shot the suspect.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Sokolovskis without clothing and exhibiting signs of possible drug impairment. He was taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to his lower body. Authorities confirmed that his condition was stable as of Tuesday evening.
Once he is released from the hospital, Sokolovskis is expected to face charges related to the break-in. The case has been forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for review.
