Man Found Shot Dead in Pomona, Homicide Investigation Launched

(Thechieftainspear) –Authorities are investigating after a man was found fatally shot early Friday morning in Pomona.

Officers with the Pomona Police Department responded to reports of a shooting around 4:38 a.m. in the 900 block of East Holt Avenue. Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel to revive him, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No suspects were located in the immediate area, and investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The department’s homicide unit is handling the investigation and working to gather leads.
