Man Accused of Pointing Gun at Family During Ventura Road Rage Incident

(Thechieftainspear) – A Tulare County man was taken into custody Friday afternoon after allegedly brandishing a loaded firearm at a family during a road rage confrontation in Ventura, authorities said.

The incident unfolded around 3:15 p.m. as a 24-year-old man, his 25-year-old wife, and their infant child were driving westbound on the 126 Freeway, according to the Ventura Police Department. The family reported that a driver, later identified as 36-year-old Donovan Jensen of Exeter, began aggressively tailgating them for several miles.

Both vehicles exited at Wells Road and continued south into Ventura, police said. During a heated exchange, Jensen allegedly pulled alongside the family’s vehicle, pointed a handgun at them, yelled, and then sped away.

The victims quickly called 911 to report the encounter.
