Brutal Two-Car Crash in Los Angeles Leaves at Least 5 Injured

(Thechieftainspear) – A two-car crash in the Los Angeles harbor region on Sunday evening left at least five people injured, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The collision occurred just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of North Wilmington Boulevard and West Opp Street. Although details remain scarce, responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department were quick to the scene.

Video footage shared on the Citizen app showed one of the vehicles, a dark-colored four-door sedan, badly damaged after striking a power pole. The front of the car was severely crushed, with the hood pushed almost up to the windshield, and the airbags deployed inside the vehicle.

The second vehicle involved, a light-colored older model Volkswagen Beetle, was seen in the middle of the intersection before being loaded onto a tow truck. It is unclear what kind of damage the Beetle sustained in the crash.

Early reports suggested that a 3-year-old child might have been among the injured, though this detail has not been confirmed by officials. Footage from the scene also showed a large debris field with yellow crime scene tape surrounding the area, and several individuals speaking with officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.

The intersection was temporarily closed while police investigated the crash. While it’s unclear if all five injured individuals were taken to the hospital or their current condition, at least one ambulance was seen leaving the scene.

Investigators have not provided further details on the cause of the crash or whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.
