Canoga Park -A tragic incident involving an e-scooter rider occurred Saturday morning in Canoga Park, resulting in the rider’s death after being trapped beneath an SUV.
The crash was reported just before 11 a.m. in the 6800 block of Owensmouth Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim pinned under the axle of an SUV in a crosswalk. Emergency responders worked to extricate the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene despite their efforts.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) identified the victim as a 53-year-old man, though his name has not yet been released.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, authorities confirmed.
