Elm Road, Norton Canes – A 31-year-old fisherman and devoted Aston Villa supporter, Louis Price, tragically passed away on Christmas Day in Staffordshire, leaving his family and community in mourning.
Police responded to a call about a man in cardiac arrest on Elm Road, Norton Canes, at around 3:25 a.m. on December 25. Despite emergency medical efforts, Mr. Price could not be saved. His cause of death remains under investigation.
Heartfelt Tributes
Mr. Price’s family described him as a cherished member of the community who “always had a smile on his face” and exuded positivity wherever he went. In a heartfelt statement, they said:
“Louis was well-loved by his family and closest friends. He was a well-known member of the community, always had a smile on his face, and brought a positive energy to anywhere he went. He always had time for anyone and would help anyone he could.”
A passionate fisherman, Louis frequently embarked on fishing trips with friends and family. He also loved football, playing for a local team and remaining a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa.
The family expressed their profound grief, stating:
“As a family, we are devastated at losing Louis. Life will never be the same without him; he leaves a huge hole in the lives of everyone who knew him. Christmas is a time we have always spent together as a family, and to lose Louis at this time is even harder.”

Louis is survived by his parents, brother, sister, and six children—four daughters and two sons—whom he loved deeply.
The family requested privacy during this difficult time and urged the public to refrain from speculating about the circumstances surrounding his death.
Ongoing Investigation
Staffordshire Police confirmed the arrest of a woman on suspicion of Mr. Price’s murder on December 25. Authorities have been granted additional time to question the suspect.
The police also referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following recent interactions with the deceased.
The investigation continues as the community remembers Louis Price as a beloved father, friend, and supporter of Aston Villa who will be dearly missed.
