Security Guard Arrested After Stabbing Incident at Downtown Minneapolis Bar

Minneapolis  -A security guard at The Saloon, a downtown Minneapolis bar, was arrested following a stabbing incident early Saturday morning, according to police reports.

At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a call regarding a stabbing at the bar, located on the 800 block of Hennepin Avenue South. Preliminary findings suggest that an altercation occurred between a man and a security guard, during which the man was stabbed, suffering life-threatening injuries. The security guard also sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. Both individuals were taken to Hennepin Healthcare Hospital for treatment.

The security guard was later discharged from the hospital and arrested on charges of assault. As of Monday afternoon, formal charges had not been filed.

While the police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing, they have not disclosed whether a weapon was recovered. Additionally, the current condition of the victim has not been made public. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the cause of the altercation.
