Washington state’s dining scene is gearing up for an exciting 2025, with several highly anticipated restaurants set to make their mark. From iconic fast-food chains to fresh culinary concepts, here’s a preview of what food lovers can expect in the coming year.

Raising Cane’s Fried Chicken Fingers in Seattle
Known for its crispy chicken fingers and signature Cane’s Sauce, Raising Cane’s is making its way into Seattle with new locations planned for the University District, Renton, and Lynnwood. The closest current location is in Vancouver, Washington, where the Louisiana-based chain opened in July.

In-N-Out Burger Expanding into Washington
The much-loved California-based chain is bringing its signature burgers, fries, and shakes to Washington. In-N-Out plans to open its first location in Ridgefield by 2025, marking a significant expansion into the state. Fans no longer need to drive to Oregon or Idaho for their In-N-Out fix. Additionally, Vancouver may soon see a second location in the future.

Voodoo Doughnut Opens in Capitol Hill
No need to travel to Portland for a taste of the quirky, over-the-top doughnuts from Voodoo Doughnut. The Seattle location opened on December 10 at 1201 Pine St. Fans can enjoy iconic creations like the Old Dirty Bastard, Voodoo Bubble, and Voodoo Doll doughnuts.

El Pollo Loco Coming to Seattle
El Pollo Loco, known for its fire-grilled chicken and fresh Mexican-inspired dishes, is entering the Seattle market. Plans are in place for four locations in Federal Way, Kent, Tacoma, and Puyallup. The chain is partnering with Jean-Paul Pirio to bring these locations to life.

Starbird Chicken Expanding in Washington
California-based Starbird Chicken is planning an expansion into Washington with 17 locations, including 15 in the Seattle area and two in Spokane. Known for its no-antibiotics-ever chicken and tech-savvy customer experience, Starbird aims to redefine fast food with a chef-crafted menu. The first locations are expected to open in 2025.

With new arrivals like Mountain Mike’s Pizza and a Chick-Fil-A opening in Interbay, food enthusiasts across the state are in for a treat in 2025. Additionally, “The Village” expansion at the Tacoma Mall will feature notable restaurant brands like Shake Shack, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Supreme Dumpling.
