California – A 74-year-old man from Weldon, identified as Eddy Miguel Castellanos, has been confirmed as the victim in a fatal crash on Highway 58.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred on January 1, 2025, at approximately 5:36 a.m., when two vehicles were involved in a crash on eastbound Highway 58 near Clay Mine Road in North Edwards. Castellanos, who was driving one of the vehicles, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
