Minnesota – If you made a New Year’s resolution to cut out pizza, here’s some bad news for you: Minnesota has two pizzerias that just made it to Yelp’s prestigious list of the 100 best pizza places in the U.S. for 2024!
The list, curated by Yelp’s most passionate and trusted reviewers, known as the Yelp Elites, highlights top pizza spots across the country. (And if this concept ever becomes an Amazon Prime show, I’ll gladly take some credit!) If you’re a big fan of food reviews, you can even become a Yelp Elite yourself!

While Minnesota didn’t land a spot in the Top 10, the list includes some fan-favorites from cities like Chicago, New York, and California. Here are the top 10 pizza places:

Minnesota’s Best Pizza Spots
Though Minnesota didn’t have a place in the top 10, the state is still represented on the list with two notable pizzerias.

1. Surly Brewing (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Surly Brewing, known for its taproom food and brewery atmosphere, has earned a solid 4.2-star Yelp rating. Though it’s primarily known for beer, many visitors recommend getting the pizza when you’re there. The pizzeria upstairs offers a variety of specialty pizzas, and many Yelp reviewers say they were pleasantly surprised by the pizza creations.
2. Pizzeria Lola (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Pizzeria Lola in Minneapolis holds an impressive 4.4-star Yelp rating. The restaurant is known for its wood-fired pizzas with Korean influences, as well as its global wine list. Some of their popular specialty pizzas include the Korean Cowboy, Korean BBQ, My Sha-Roni, and the Forager. Plus, they make their own gluten-free crust in-house, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions.
