The wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles County since Tuesday are still raging out of control, claiming the lives of at least 16 people. As of Saturday, the fires—known as the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst blazes—have forced nearly 200,000 residents to evacuate, with approximately 10,000 structures, including entire neighborhoods, reduced to rubble.

Over 35,000 acres of land have been scorched, an area roughly two-and-a-half times the size of Manhattan. Emergency crews are battling the massive fires, but containment remains elusive as the flames continue to spread across the region. Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage, which is expected to grow as the fires persist.
