Body Found Washed Ashore Near Belmont Pier in Long Beach

Long Beach (Thechieftainspear) – Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was found washed ashore near Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier in Long Beach on Sunday morning.

The Long Beach Fire Department reported that emergency crews responded around 11:30 a.m. to the area near Ocean Boulevard and 36th Street, where they discovered the body on the sand.

Officials identified the deceased as a man in his 50s, though his name has not yet been released. Investigators do not believe suicide was a factor in his death, but the exact cause remains under review.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has taken custody of the body, while the Long Beach Police Department continues its investigation.
