(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities took three suspects into custody on Wednesday following a high-speed police chase that started in Camarillo and ended in Simi Valley. The individuals were wanted in connection with an organized retail theft case.
The pursuit began after Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies spotted the suspects’ dark-colored Mercedes sedan near the Camarillo Outlets on Ventura Boulevard. By 4:30 p.m., law enforcement was in active pursuit as the vehicle sped south on the 101 Freeway.
The driver, wearing a distinctive pink shirt, continued onto the northbound 23 Freeway before merging onto the 118 Freeway. At one point, speeds exceeded 115 miles per hour. During the chase, the vehicle appeared to make contact with at least one other car, causing significant damage. Eventually, the front wheel detached from the sedan, forcing the driver to pull over.

All three suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. Aerial footage captured them scaling a fence and hiding in a backyard shed on Woodhaven Court in Simi Valley.
As deputies investigated the abandoned car, officers from the Simi Valley and Moorpark police departments arrived at the home. With weapons drawn and a tactical shield for protection, officers cautiously approached the backyard, ordered the suspects to exit, and took them into custody without further incident.
Authorities have not yet released details on the suspects’ identities or the exact nature of the retail theft case .
