She Ran a Drug Business From Her Home — Then Police Knocked on Her Door With a Search Warrant

A narcotics investigation that had been quietly building for weeks came to a head on a Wednesday morning in Stafford Township — and it ended with a 42-year-old woman in handcuffs inside her own home.

Bonnie S. Greenbaum of Manahawkin, New Jersey, was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m. on June 4, after the Stafford Township Drug Enforcement Unit wrapped up a targeted probe into alleged narcotics distribution in the area.

Before moving in, investigators secured a search warrant for Greenbaum’s residence. What they found inside removed any doubt about what had been going on.

Authorities discovered quantities of Suboxone, Adderall pills, and a supply of U.S. currency — all recovered from within the home. The combination of prescription drugs and cash pointed directly to what police had suspected: an active, ongoing drug distribution operation running out of a quiet residential address.

Suboxone is a controlled substance typically prescribed for opioid addiction treatment. Adderall is a prescription stimulant. Both are heavily regulated — and both carry serious criminal penalties when distributed illegally.

Greenbaum now faces a lengthy list of charges: multiple counts of distribution of Adderall and Suboxone, possession with intent to distribute both substances, simple possession of each drug, and a third-degree money laundering charge.

After being processed at the Stafford Township Police Department, she was issued a complaint summons and released. She is expected to appear before Ocean County Superior Court at a future date.

What Happens Next: Third-degree money laundering in New Jersey carries a potential prison sentence of 3 to 5 years. Combined with the multiple distribution charges, Greenbaum could be facing significant time if convicted. The case now moves to the Ocean County court system, where prosecutors will determine next steps.

As with all criminal cases, the charges filed against Greenbaum are accusations only. She is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
