Four People Killed in Livonia, Michigan Shooting — Suspect Walks Out and Tells Police He Shot Family

Livonia, Michigan — A Tuesday evening shooting left four people dead at a home in Livonia, Michigan, after a suspect allegedly shot multiple family members and then walked outside to tell police what he had done.

One suspect is now in custody. A weapon was recovered from the scene.

What Police Found When They Arrived

Officers responded to a home in the 19300 block of Rensello Road Tuesday evening.

As police arrived, a man was spotted walking out of the house — and told officers directly that he had shot family members inside.

What officers found when they entered was devastating.

Two victims were discovered inside a main-floor bedroom. Two more were found in the backyard. All four were pronounced dead at the scene.

Who the Victims Were

The four victims were identified as two women and two men.

Authorities confirmed that three of the victims were related to the suspect. The fourth victim was in a relationship with the suspect’s brother.

The identities of the victims have not yet been publicly released.

No Threat to the Public

Livonia police confirmed that the suspect is in custody and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
