Tewksbury Police Search For Man Who Photographed Children At Bus Stop

TEWKSBURY, MA – Police are investigating a suspicious incident after a driver targeted a group of children waiting for their school bus on Monday morning, forcing them to flee in fear.

Suspicious Activity on Farmer Avenue

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Farmer Avenue. According to the Tewksbury Police Department, a resident reported that an unknown man was driving slowly past the local bus stop where several children were waiting.

Local teenagers stated that the situation escalated when the driver pulled up and began snapping pictures of them.

Terrified Children Flee Scene

Instead of boarding the arriving school bus, the frightened teenagers ran back down the street to seek shelter. A 14-year-old witness stated they were terrified and had no idea what the man’s intentions were.

The driver allegedly followed the children back to their neighborhood. Witnesses reported that the man then exited his vehicle and began taking photos of the street and individual homes before driving away.

Investigation and Police Response

Tewksbury officers are actively searching for the driver and examining potential security footage from the neighborhood to identify the vehicle.

Authorities are urging parents and residents in the Farmer Avenue area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles or behavior immediately to local police.
