Many people affected by the flood still hae a lot of work to clean up the destruction. (Above) Journalists from East traveled to the state capitol to testify in support of LB 206 on Feb. 1. Juniors Emily Nelson and McKayla Vermeer spoke about their experiences as members of The Tom Tom staff. “This was my second year going to testify and I think that really puts in perspective how important I believe this bill is to not only myself but also the future student journalists of Nebraska,” Vermeer said. Vermeer also testifed in 2018.
